Todd Struwe, CEM
Director, Brookings County Emergency Management

 
Todd has been the Director of Brookings County Emergency Management since November 1992. Prior to that he was volunteer with Lake County Emergency Management as an exercise design officer. Todd has experience as an EMT-I working for Madison Community Emergency Services and was the Training Officer for Lake County Search and Rescue for four years.

Todd has completed the requirements for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Professional Development Series and has maintained his Certified Emergency Manager designation from the South Dakota Emergency Management Association since its inception in 1992.

Todd has served the South Dakota Emergency Management Association as Treasurer, President-Elect, President, and Past-President.
 

Todd is a member of the Tri-State Emergency Management Association and serves on the Storm Ready Board for the National Weather Service Office in Sioux Falls, SD.

Todd is an Air Force veteran with extensive training in communication maintenance, test and evaluation, and tactical communication serving with the Joint Tactical Command Control and Communications Agency of the Department of Defense.

Todd is married with two children and spends his free time participating in his children’s activities and constructing scale models.
